Great place to take the family. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. Great way to go back in time and get a small glimpse of what it was like to live in the old west. History that you walk through is the best way to learn.
I love it here! Nice trails to go hiking. Good price for annual pass. Love the exhibits. Staff is also very nice and knowledgeable.
The most extensive and best restored frontier fort in the Southwest. We were lucky enough to show up in time for the guided tour, given by Hank, and it was something spectacular. Hands on experience with replicas of period uniforms and gear, access to buildings usually locked, and some great knowledge from a very studied Park Ranger. Highly recommend if you are in the area and like learning about the history of West Texas, the frontier era, and US Army history.
There was so much to learn here. The history of all people are celebrated.
Outstanding place, outstanding staff. This is a great example of a place where management is as good as the significance of the historical site. There were two volunteers available to answer our questions, the entrance fee is very reasonable, the bathrooms were clean, and the restoration is just outstanding. Highly recommended.
