Love this park. Our site was the best in the park. Great views, close to all the running trails. We saw our friend the skunk on two nights. Really friendly staff and park host, I want that job. No cell service but that might be a plus. More time to run and relax. My only problem was I ran all the trails in the park by day 4 and had to take a break. Bring a good set of lungs.
Beautiful park. Friendly people working here. Crystal clear dark skies excellent for astronomy of all levels.
Love this park! Clean and well maintained. They have 2 bird blinds that are fantastic. We hiked all the trails and wore ourselves out. Full hook up area with cable tv. We stayed in a 40 ft mh for five days and never left the park and would have stayed longer but they were full. Make reservations or you will be taking a chance. All staff is pleasant and helpful. We definitely will return!
Great park and friendly staff. Beautiful campsites with lots of hammock friendly trees. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and the restaurant at the Indian Lodge serves breakfast and lunch. Excellent trails from the park to nearby Fort Davis, with some outstanding views. A very short drive away from the Observatory.
The park itself is very nice. Rugged with lots of hills/small mountains. Good trails. There is a skyline drive that we took often in the morning or at sunset. Good bird blind for viewing. Contains the Indian Lodge.
