Just got back from experiencing this place this weekend. We loved it. The food was good the staff was very nice and friendly. The room was old but clean. We love the The history behind all of it.
November 2017, visited Fort Davis before but this was the first time here. Went in for an evening meal I got the special hamburger and my wife got grilled chicken sandwich. Service was very friendly and the food was very good. Had a long talk with one of the employees asking them questions and we had a good chat. I really enjoyed the laid back relaxing atmosphere for this place and would highly recommend stopping by for a good meal.
It is very clean inside and doesn't have the greasy feeling or smell that most burger and fry places do.
Great ambience near fort Davis. Excellent stop for true diner food and the best old soda ice cream shop. Sweets for all. Hotel upstairs, gift store etc
Great atmosphere. Stopped in for lunch while exploring area. Authentic looking ice cream parlor with stools. I had chicken finger basket and crust was great, unfortunately chicken was tough. Don't think that was restaurants fault, just way chicken breast seem to be now.
This place has all of the feelings of the Wild West combined with an old school ice cream parlor. They make everything from malts to floats. My husband enjoyed the chipotle burger and I had the mushroom Swiss. Their onion rings are amazing; top it all off with a chocolate malt and you've got yourself a winner!
